An Explorers rover mission: a planet map with crystals and a base, and a program built from colourful blocks

A planet waiting to be explored.

Explorers drive a rover by snapping colourful blocks together: move, turn, pick up, repeat and if. There's no typing, so it works for younger learners on a tablet or phone as well as a computer.

Every screen has a Read aloud button, and learners earn ranks from Scout to Planet Ranger.

Three zones over 12 weeks

First instructions in order, then loops and decisions, then staying safe and kind online. About 3 hours a week.

Every quest records the outcomes it covers from the NSW Science and Technology K–6 Syllabus (2024), Stages 2 and 3, plus online safety. Parents can print a record of learning, organised by outcome.

  • ST2-DDT-02Designs and uses algorithms, represents data and uses digital systems for a purpose
  • ST2-DAT-01Uses and interprets data to describe patterns and relationships
  • ST3-DDT-01Uses design processes to create, evaluate and modify designed solutions
  • ST3-DDT-02Creates, evaluates and modifies algorithms to code or control digital devices and systems
  • SAFE-01Stays safe, private and kind online, and knows when to ask a trusted adult (online safety, not a syllabus outcome)
